HEALTHY MOMMA CHALLENGE
It's that time of year again! The Healthy Momma Challenge begins February 1 and runs the entire month of February. Registrations must be turned in by January 13 to guarantee a t-shirt. COLD WEATHER IS HERE!
Just a reminder to call 800-718-7025 in the morning to find out if class has moved indoors to Tidewater Volleyball Association, Francis Asbury Church, and/or Greenbrier Mall. We use the hour-by-hour forecast available at www.weather.com to help us make our decision. We look at the 'feels like' temperature, and will move at least one class indoors if it will feel like 40 or less at class time. If the 'feels like' temp is 40-42, AND there is a good deal of wind, class will likely move indoors. If in doubt, call the 800 #, we do our best to leave a message by 8:00am.

Tips and tricks for enjoying Stroller Strides in chilly weather:
Wear layers. You can always take off a jacket and put it in your stroller.
Wear gloves. They make a huge difference for both you and your child and can always come off. Same goes for hats.
Consider a vinyl weather shield for your stroller, your child will be toasty warm in there. If you don't have a weather shield, bundle your child with a blanket on her lap, or by leaving pajama bottoms on under her play clothes. This trick works well for kids who throw blankets off. You can take off the second layer when it's her turn to play after class.
As always, drink water. Your body loses water quickly when exercising in the cold, so hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!
