5k Training Program this Fall!
Announcing Stroller Strides of Raleigh's 5k Training Program, Sept 10th- Nov 20th, 2010 This program is designed for the begining runner (or past runner who wants to get back into running shape) with the goal of accomplishing a 5K run (3.1 miles). Classes will meet for 10 weeks and will finish with a 5K Race, the Turkey Trot in Apex on Sat, Nov 20th. We will meet one day per week and you will run 1-3 days per week on your own. You'll also learn about running form, injury prevention, increasing speed and distance, and choosing the right shoe. The program fee is $80 for Stroller Strides Members and $100 for non SS Members, plus race fees. Contact us with any q's! PLEASE NOTE: After Labor Day (i.e. beginning Tues, 9/7), our fall class schedule will begin. All classes will be 10-11am.
What is Stroller Strides?
Looking for a way to get in shape, meet other moms, and have fun with your child? Stroller Strides may be just what you’re looking for—come out and try it for free!
Stroller Strides is a total fitness program for moms that they can do with their baby or stroller-age child. The hour-long workout includes power walking and intervals of body toning, using exercise tubing and the stroller. Taught by nationally certified instructors who are trained in pre- and post-natal fitness, it's a great workout for any fitness level.
Fitness for Mom, Fun for Baby
In addition to providing a great full body workout for moms, we engage the children throughout our classes through songs and activities, keeping baby entertained while mom exercises. We welcome moms and babies from 6 weeks to any age that they’ll stay in a stroller (usually about 4 years old).
More than an exercise program
Our program also offers our Luna Mom Playgroup (at no additional cost) that consists of weekly playgroups after class, monthly moms night out activities and special community events. Don't put it off any longer... come join all the Stroller Strides fun!

What to Bring & Wear:
- Comfortable walking shoes and exercise appropriate clothing - Just about any kind of stroller will do so long as it's not prone to tipping - Water - Towel or mat for abs and stretching - A hat and/or sunscreen for you and your little one - Baby/kid essentials including snacks and/or toys for your little ones
Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to the start time of each class. We don't want to leave anyone behind!
Weather/cancellation policy
Classes will either be moved indoors or cancelled due to heavy rain or extreme temperatures. Class changes due to the weather will be posted as a voicemail message at 888-389-0701, option 3, as well as on our website, no later than one hour before class.
Now offering Saturday classes, perfect for working moms and/or the whole family
We are now offering regular Saturday classes. This is a great option for working moms as well as stay-at-home moms interested in a weekend workout or activity. Dads are welcome to join too on Saturdays, no additional charge!
