Luna Moms Club and Playgroup will be meeting every Monday at Indian Riverside Park after class. You do not need to be a Stroller Strides member to join in the fun. Our Playgroup Captain, Nina is in charge of hosting a different activity each week. Some of the activities the babies have enjoyed are making rattles out of water bottles and pasta and exploring different shaped and textured balls. January 2007 marked the launch of our LUNA Moms Clubs across the country. Stroller Strides is proud to partner with LUNA in offering unique playgroup programs across the country. By being a part of our playgroups, you will not only enjoy fun and playful activities with your children, but will build a tight community of likeminded moms to share advice, tips and laughter! Your LUNA Moms Club will include weekly playgroup activities, monthly Mom's Night Out and a variety of events that contribute to various community and charity needs.


LUNA MOM'S CLUB powered by Stroller Strides:

Heidi Monsour is our Luna Moms Event Coordinator. She organizes all monthly Mom's Night Out get togethers and assists with the quarterly charitable events for Luna Moms group. Heidi is a "National Youth Motivator". During the past ten years she has also worked as the Director of Education for Barbizon Modeling, as an Event Coordinator for SteinMart stores in Tampa, and has been a spokes model for various other companies (from Captain Morgan's Rum to Cadillac). Jessica Barber is our new Playgroup Coordinator. Beginning January, 1st, playgroup will be held on Monday mornings after class. Jessica has graciously volunteered to take over this position from Nina Ferraro. Jessica has been involved with the Stroller Strides program for almost two years and is a terrific Mom to her son, Seth, who turns three in July. Prior to becoming a Mom, Jessica worked in the boating industry. Not only is Jessica creative, friendly and responsible, but she is always willing to go the extra mile to lend a helping hand. MOMS WITH A MISSION WINTER PROJECT:

The Luna Moms club is collecting canned food for the Treasure Coast Food Bank to be distributed to needy families in Martin and St. Lucie counties this holiday season. Please bring your canned goods to a Stroller Strides class anytime during the month of December. This is an important project, as the Treasure Coast Food Bank is experiencing a severe shortage in donations this year!!! Be generous! For more information please call 772-631-6611.


Due to the holidays we will not hold a December Moms Night Out. Please let Heidi know what YOU are interested in doing for our upcoming Moms Night Out in January to kick off the New Year.

Please mark your calendars for the following Luna Moms Club playgroups. All playgroups are at Indian Riverside Park in front of the pavilion at 10:00 am unless otherwise indicated.

November 19th: Football Party: Wear your team's favorite colors and I'll be bring balls of all shapes, sizes, colors and textures for the kids to play with.

November 26th: Thanksgiving Party and Recipe Exchange: I'll bring a craft for the kids to make AND please bring 10 copies of a recipe for your favorite Thanksgiving side dish or dessert.

December 3rd - Annual Toy Drive: bring an unwrapped toy to donate

December 10th - Pajama party and storytime (I'll read some stories and bring hot chocolate)

December 17th - Cookie and Ornament Exchange: bring cookies and an ornament (under $5) to exchange
