June 17th – Sidewalk Paint (for our budding Picassos & Monets)

June 24th – Tunnels & Tents (exploration on all fours)



Let’s Go to the Zoo! – Wednesday, June 11th – Meet inside the gate at the Alaska Zoo around 3:30pm (after naptime!) for an afternoon with the animals. Admission is $10 for adults, children 2 and under are free (annual zoo passes are $75, good for family, including grandparents). The zoo is located off O’Malley Road, see their website for directions (http://www.alaskazoo.org/planyourvisit.htm). Rain date: June 18th.



Alaska Run for Women – Saturday, June 14th – Join us for fun, exercise, and to raise money for breast cancer research and outreach. Registration is by donation (http://www.akrfw.org/index.html) and 100% of the money goes to charity. There is a 5 mile timed or untimed course, and a 1 mile untimed course. Strollers are welcome, but only in the untimed events and there is no running. Holly & Jocelyn have already registered under the team: Qilamik Alaska (Inupiaq for “Hurry Up”) and we’d like to invite our Stroller Stride Moms to join us! You will find the team name on the drop down list after “Join an existing team.” The deadline to register online is June 13th, and bib pick ups will be at University Centre prior to the 14th. Let’s make a strong presence for those fighting breast cancer! Fit Moms Rock!

Mom’s Night Out – Saturday, June 21st – Celebrate the longest day of the year on a great patio with great friends! We’ll meet at the Snow Goose Restaurant, located at 717 W 3rd Avenue (http://www.alaskabeers.com/index.cfm), at 4:00 pm. Parking is available in their lot. Look for us upstairs & outside, but if the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll be in the bar area.
